The Sundresses | 2002-2016
As a member of The Sundresses, I was fortunate enough to be part of a highly successful rock band based in Cincinnati from 2002 to 2016. Our music resonated with fans nationally, and we were invited to perform at SXSW six times, sharing the stage with some of the most respected bands in the industry. Among them were TV On The Radio, Southern Culture On The Skids, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Jon Spencer, Ralph Stanley, Dinosaur Jr., Dexter Romweber, The Henchmen, and The Detroit Cobras.
Our 2008 album, Barkinghaus, won Album of the Year at the Cincinnati Entertainment Awards, one of multiple awards we received over the years. Our music was known for its unique sound that combined elements of rock, punk, and country, and we developed a strong following of fans who appreciated our originality and energy on stage.
As a band member, I was proud to be part of the success that The Sundresses achieved, and I gained valuable experience in the music industry, including touring and performing at various venues across the country, as well as honing my skills as a graphic artist creating our show posters, merchandise, and album covers.
